Dill-icious Crunchy Garlic Pickles

Crunchy Dill Pickles

I have come up with the perfect dill pickle.  So says me.  I like my pickles crunchy, garlicky, and of course with lots of dill pickle flavor.  Before I decided to kick all the bad ingredients out of my kitchen, like food dyes, I enjoyed a Mount Olive kosher dill pickle the best.  I just don’t really love that they include yellow dyes {as do many other mainstream, conventional  pickle companies}.  I have bought several brands at Whole Foods and I have had some I don’t care for and some I like. But, this…this pickle is only delicious wholesome ingredients and it has the perfect flavor I have been longing for!  {This is coming from a self proclaimed pickle connoisseur}.

So, without further adu, grab your boiling water canner, some canning jars {I used pints}, a jar lifter, some dish towels, and of course some home grown {or locally found} pickling cucumbers.  I found all the gear I needed for a good price at Walmart and I lucked up on the cute little cucumbers from a local Tennessee farmer.  I bought all he had!  So keep your eyes peeled!
