Spinach and Artichoke Dip – In the Crockpot!!

Did you read that title? IN THE CROCKPOT?? You did a happy dance didn’t you?  Not only is this one of the most loved party foods, now it is SIMPLE and made with REAL food ingredients!?  What?!  You just did a fist pump… I saw you!  Yes you… the crazy crockpot lady. The one that has a whole board dedicated to crockpot meals and foods on pinterest.  It’s okay. I’m that lady too.  Mamas are crazy about crockpots.  I mean c’mon… food that cooks itself?  What’s not to love?

This is one of those recipes everyone loves to see at a party. It’s safe. You know what it is and it tastes good. REAL good.  Now YOU can be the one that brings the coveted dip AND you’ll even have time to get your party dress on because you won’t be spending all your time in the kitchen.  This dip takes about 5 or 10 minutes to assemble and then cook for about 2 hours and viola! Magically delicious dip.

If you don’t have a small crockpot, you can get one at Walmart for less than $20 and it will come in handy for lots of party foods like this one…but then again, you won’t have a need to bring ANYTHING else anymore. ;)

Walmart was out of the block Parmesan cheese while shopping. I am preparing this dip for tomorrow and just remembered I didn’t have that cheese. The only other cheese I have to try is Monteray. Do you think this will ruin the dip?

    Thanks for your help!

  2. I tried to subscribe to your site via email, and got a page not found error. When I clicked the button to email you, I received the same error. Please help! Thanks!

  3. I tried this for my Super Bowl party. The dip burned along the edges, is there a way to keep this from happening? Also what size was your small crock pot?

I’m not sure but it doesn’t have a temp gauge or control. It just plugs in. Every crockpot is different. You might just keep an eye on it and when it is done, unplug it or turn it off to keep it from scorching. Stirring it periodically while it is heating in the crockpot will help too. Alternatively you could microwave the recipe or pop it in the oven.
