Ninja Ultima Blender Review + Minty Mocha Frap Recipe

Have you been thinking of saving up for a Vitamix blender?  Are you a green smoothie lover?  Do you need a blender that will blend veggies up into a drinkable liquid and not chunky gazpacho?  OR, do you have a child with a nut allergy and you’d like to make cashews into cashew butter?  These are all great reasons to invest in a good blender that will do the job.  But what if I told you that you didn’t need to spend the $400-$550 price tag to get that kind of blender?

The Ninja Ultima is powered by a 2.5 peak horsepower motor. What makes it special is it’s dual stage blending, first with the removable high speed cyclonic upper blades, then with the regular lower blender blades.  {If you’ve ever owned a Ninja blender you know this classic design}.  I had one of the first Ninja blenders available at Walmart – one of the biggest sellers, because it is a great cheap blender for chopping nuts, making salad dressings, or salsa. But, the difference in this blender and that one is astronomical.

First off, the Ninja Ultima blender is HUGE – much like the other top of the line blenders. That is probably because it houses a HUGE motor with 2.5 horsepower – what you need if you are planning to grind meat, make nut butter, or make whole juices.

Using 1500 Watts, you can use the pulse setting, or you can blend on one of the three speeds (low/medium/high). The lid seals completely, meaning you will never have a blended mess on your counter. {It has a nifty sealing button to ensure the lid is locked}. The lid also features a convenient flip up cap on the corner for easy, mess-free pouring.

The best part? The Ninja Ultima is available at Walmart for $199.00 – HALF the price of the competition.

I saw this blender in action when I went to Bentonville for a Walmart Mom meeting.  I was very impressed.  I got one for my mom and she LOVES it. I decided to give it test drive myself and here’s what I blended up:

  1. My friend has a Ninja and she and her daughter make green smoothies every day. She loves it and says it crushes ice like a dream! Can’t wait until the giveaway!

  2. Thank you so much for letting us know about the Ninja Ultima! I tried to look at the Walmart website tonight, but it was being very sluggish and wouldn’t connect to the link you provided. I couldn’t even do a search there on their website for it. (Other websites are loading up just fine with my computer tonight.)

I looked on Amazon for the Ninja Ultima Blender, but I didn’t see any of them that had the same features on the front as yours does (low – medium – high speeds). What particular model is yours? Thanks!

  3. Love all your great information, especially the recipe. Thanks

  4. The blender she is talking about is the ninja ultima Bl800. Google search it and you will find that blender and the other blenders in the series. I just bought the blender she was talking about from walmart. I’m waiting impatiently for it to arrive.
