This week’s plan 5.20.13

This week is a busy one!  I’ve working at the school to start the week off – juggling ball practice and a cocktail party with a brand I REALLY want to work with on Wednesday.  Then, Thursday and Friday will be back to the reality called motherhood – cleaning house, organizing a closet, and finding homes for all the junk I’ve brought home from work with the move I am slowly making.

Looking forward to memorial day weekend.  Hoping to finish some planting and caging some tomatoes!  I can’t wait to get out in the dirt!

This Week’s Plan 5.13.13

I am going to be cooking from my pantry/freezer this week.  The only thing I need to pick up is some corn from the farmer’s market.

This month is crazy busy for us…I’m just trying to figure out how to get it all done!  I’ve got lots of trips planned, work to wrap up, baseball games, and the usual busy-ness of family life!  So bear with me as I may seem scattered {as you may notice this post is a day late!}

My life is drastically changing in a few short weeks {stay tuned for a post} and I am just trying to “keep swimming” as I go through this transition period!

This Week’s Plan 4.22.13

I had a rough week last week.  It seemed like I just couldn’t accomplish anything.  Looking back, I realize that we had a good time…I’m not really sure what happened!  I played with the kids, built train tracks, had a fun little picnic inside and another fun little picnic outside with the kiddos.  I think my struggle was with getting Eliana to sleep at night.  She has been SUPER clingy.  Part of me loves it because she is so lovey and kissy right now.  But, on the other hand, I have accomplished very little (that is why you saw WAY fewer posts last week!).

This week will be better!  Judah has tot ball practice…he’s SO excited.  This will only be his second one.  And, we’ve GOT to make a trip to the Whole Foods store -0ur fridge is getting more bare by the minute!

What will we be having in our thinning options of groceries? ;)

The Week at Hand 4.8.13

Well, spring break is over and I will be heading back to work today.  I really wish it would never end, but summer will be here before too long.  If you read my plan last week, you know I had a LOOONG list of things I wanted to accomplish.  Well, I did!  I accomplished everything on my list AND some.  But, I think I need a break from my break. ;)

Judah, Eliana, and I visited the Tennessee Aquarium, ran errands including buying blueberry bushes and grocery shopping.  We hiked, rode our bikes, weeded the garden, planted strawberry plants, and planted blueberry bushes.  We had a visit to the pediatrician for well visits and shots for both kids {in one day… oy!}.  And, we baked up a storm!  I made chocolate chip muffins, bagels, pumpkin muffins, and strawberry breakfast tarts.

Now to take on another week…

The Week at Hand: 4.1.13

I’m enjoying my week at home on Spring Break this week.  I’ve got a long list of things I want to accomplish. ;)

First up, I am planning on having some fun with my kiddos at the Tennessee Aquarium, running  a couple errands, weeding my new garden site, planting some strawberry plants and blueberry bushes, reading a couple of books in my big stack of things to read, going on a hike through the woods with Judah, and bake up a bunch of goodies.

Judah and Eliana and I had fun today trying out a new place for lunch, trading in some books at McKay’s Used Book Store, and buying some sandals for the two of them for the warm weather.

My Week at Hand 3.24.13

What a week.  I am exhausted and barely remember a thing.  Chalk it up to two littles who weren’t feeling 100%.  I think the warm weather turned frigid messed with their sinuses and one has a runny nose while the other has a barking cough and a stopped up nose.

Between comforting them, battling the littlest one to bed, the same little one cutting a mouthful of teeth, and the typical weekly chores and errands I am ready for an early bedtime. ;)

This week is sure to be another busy one.  We’re going to have a lovely Passover meal with family and friends to start the week, then work, work and more work.  But, I’m hoping to squeeze in some time to go purchase a couple more blueberry bushes, buy a couple of bunny rabbits with my mom, and maybe make a trip to ride the trolley with the kiddos if time permits.

The Week at Hand 3.18.13

This week was wonderful!  The kids and I had fun on Thursday visiting a local hotdog joint {Good Dog} for some REAL food -fast before heading to Whole Foods for a few groceries.  I love that they use local & organic ingredients so we can feel good about eating out.  We also enjoyed dinner with some friends.  Its great to catch up!

We spent a lot of time outdoors this weekend since the weather has been FABULOUS.  Judah and Eliana got filthy yesterday hiking in the woods, digging in the sandbox, playing baseball in the yard with daddy, and helping Nana pull weeds in the garden (per Judah’s request!).

The Week at Hand 2.18.13

It has been a great weekend.  We took Judah to the Fernbank museum in Atlanta to see the dinosaur exhibits.  We had a great bible study and time of worship Saturday.  But, my favorite part of the weekend was our lazy Sunday.  We laid around here doing art projects, catching up on some reading, and printing some things for Judah’s birthday party in a couple of weeks!

Now, it’s back to work, more errands to run, and a visit to see an old friend. ;)
