Hot Deal – Score Cheap Organic and Natural Products!

I rarely share deals on this blog but I couldn’t pass this one up.  Groupon has a great deal today at Vitacost!  Get a $30 voucher for just $15.  I bought 2 – one for me and one for my mama – because we buy lots of stuff here.  They have great (cheap) extra virgin organic coconut oil in a 54 oz container for around $20.  You can’t beat that price without a coupon!  Also, I buy Tom’s toothpaste and my fair trade, natural (no fragrance, petro chemicals, etc.) body wash and shampoo from Vitacost.  They have lots of other items too.   They have vitamins, supplements, snacks, and personal and beauty care items.

You’ll need to look under Kalamazoo, Michigan to see this deal, but since it’s redeemable online, anyone can get it!

You can also get a $10 coupon for signing up for Vitacost Free Rewards program if you are a new member.  Go HERE to sign up and you’ll receive a $10 code emailed to you! I’m not sure if you can use these two together, but either way you’ll be getting a great deal!

Plus, today only you can get FREE shipping at Vistacost on orders over $25!

Printable Coupons at Walmart.com

Now you can print coupons by visiting coupons.walmart.com.   Like most online coupon sites, the coupons change often, but just this week, I printed savings for $1 off any Arrowhead Mills product, $1 off STASH teas, and $1 off La Creme coffee creamer.   Even if you already clip from the Sunday paper or other coupon sites, there is always room for more coupons and right now there are some healthy products available.

(Know a friend that likes to save?  You can even share the coupon on Facebook or Twitter when you clip!)

Get even more for your dollar by combining these coupons with Walmart’s Everyday Low Prices and their Ad Match Guarantee.  You can do all of your shopping in one store and don’t have to run all over town to take advantage of the best sales!  That’s definitely a perk for this mama who always has two kiddos in tow when going grocery shopping!

Do you use coupons?  Where do you find coupons for healthy items?

A Few Deals I’m excited about this week!

I don’t ususally share deals but there are so many this week that have me down right giddy I can’t help but share them with you!

First, Earth Fare has a coupon (good through Sunday, 6/19/11) for $1 a box for Earth Fare Cereal and Organic bananas $0.25 a pound! That is unheard of even for conventional bananas and cereal!

Whole Foods is having a one day sale on pints of organic blueberries for $1.99 this Friday 6/17/11

Right now you can get a $1 off coupon for Peanut Butter and Co. peanut butter on their Facebook page. {I love the chocolate variety smeared on organic Fuji apples!}

Mamasource is offering a hot deal on one of my favorite magazines right now!  They are selling Kiwi magazine (a healthy/organic family mag) for just $6 for one year or $10 for two years!  That is dirt cheap!  This is one of my favorite magazines by far.  In fact, it is the only one I read immediately when it arrives!

Spending Less & Living Better

Walmart has recently made some changes to help us spend EVEN LESS and live EVEN BETTER! As one of the Walmart Moms, I am excited to share some recent changes and get your thoughts on them.  Walmart has always done their best to give us an everyday low price through things like rollbacks and ad matching, but they amped up their promises!  Here’s what you can expect:

First, they have always had ad match.  You know, you bring in an ad from a competitor’s store that says something is cheaper and viola!  Walmart gives you the same price.  This elimates the need to visit more than one store to get all your groceries and other household items (which is fabulous since gas prices are skyrocketing!).  But, the NEW part is – you no longer need the ad!  That is right – you just tell your cashier and they will will match the lower price.  I’ve use ad match on several occasions and it has definitely helped me save a bundle.

Changes across the nation will take time, especially in a large chain like Walmart, but they have promised to do cashier training on ad match, so hopefully it won’t be long before your store is right on the bandwagon!

Other good news is the coupon policy is clearer and you can expect the following:

  • They will accept all manufacturer print at home internet coupons
  • They will accept competitor coupons that have a specified price (a dollar amount, not a percentage or buy one get  without the price specified) on the specified item
  • They will accept Catalinas (the coupons you get at the checkout at lots of grocery stores that are printed on receipt paper) printed at competitor’s registers for dollar/cents off on a specified item
  • If a coupon value exceeds the price of the item, the excess may be given to the customer as cash or applied toward the rest of the purchase

What do you think?  I’d love to hear your thoughts about Walmart’s changes.  Also, if you have questions, I’ll do my best to help you get them answered!
